Position:

BISHOP'S PERSONAL ASSISTANT

Diocese of Grahamstown, Anglican Church of Southern Africa

1. REQUIREMENTS

1.1 Academic: M + 3

OR

1.2 Experience: 3 – 6 years in Secretarial  environment

1.3 Skills:

·         Computer literate

·         Communication

·         3 year Diploma in Office Management 

1.4 Knowledge

·         Church legislation

·         Church  work environment

2. DUTIES

·         To  manage  the Diary of the Bishop

·         Manage correspondence to and from the office of the Bishop

·         Manage documents including filing, circulation

·         Preparation of licenses and other ordination documents

·         Planning of Bishops meeting, prepare agenda and other related documents

·         Manage the office of the Bishop

·         Manage all travel and accommodation for the Bishop

·         Answer the Bishops office telephone

·         maintain good relations with the Chapter, Parishes and Clergy

·         Administration  of bursaries for Clergy

 

3 BENEFITS AND CONDITIONS OF SERVICE

·         Salary and benefits negotiable.

1      GENERAL.

                         i.                    The Diocese has the right to employ or not to employ applicants.

                       ii.                   If an applicant has not had a response for 4 weeks, she/he must consider his/her application unsuccessful.
